About Me

"In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different."

- Coco Chanel

Most marketing professionals don't have a master's in social innovation. Most social impact professionals don't have a business degree. Most professional musicians aren't professional athletes - and vice versa. Most entrepreneurs experience the trials and errors of their first venture when they are 30, or 20, or maybe even 16 - not at age 8.

My name is Grayson Wolf Walker. I printed my first business card at age 5 - for herpetology. I was an expert on snakes, and caught them outside my home in the mountains of Colorado. I grew up playing violin (before branching out to the drums) like my father, a world-renowned professional violinist. I learned work ethic from watching him practice, and charisma from watching him perform - then reaped the benefits by accompanying my parents to their concerts all around the world, developing a unique global perspective from a young age. I would begin my own music career in 2017, writing, recording, and performing music that ranges from hip hop and R&B to rock.

I learned to lead early, too. At age 8, I founded my own charitable organization, recruited 30 members, and coordinated 17 charitable events over the next four years. At 10, I became a certified assistant instructor at the martial arts school where I would earn a 2nd degree black belt. At 13, I left the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, as a Cadet Senior Master Sergeant. I refined my leadership skills through years of basketball coaching, from 15-year-old boys in Memphis to NCAA  D1 women in San Diego. Leadership, charisma, and perspective are fruitless without perseverance, though - a lesson that can only be taught the hard way. After starting basketball years behind my peers in 8th grade, I was cut from my high school team freshman, sophomore, and junior year. I learned quickly that failure is not a choice, but your response is. My tenacity and eagerness to outwork my peers was finally rewarded as a starting guard at a new school senior year. I went on to earn a collegiate roster spot, but it was for being a steadfast teammate and leader, not my on court prowess, that I became de facto team captain in college. 2 years later, I signed my first professional contract in Ireland, and would go on to play in Kosovo and Cyprus.

In 2021, I graduated cum laude from Rhodes College with a B.A. in Business (Marketing) and a double minor in Africana Studies and Urban Studies, followed by an M.A. in Social Innovation from the University of San Diego in '22 and a M.I.B. in International Business from Eastern Mediterranean University expected in June '25. While completing my current contract with Larnaka Gençler BirliÄŸi SK in Cyprus for the 2024-25 season, I am continuing to develop my sustainable fashion brand LLGND, my snake conservation brand Walker Snake Wrangler, and releasing music as Grayson Walker. I have always loved this world and the people and animals in it, and when I look back on my career, I will judge my success by the amount of lives I have touched and how I have made the world better place for everyone.
